Health Camp under CSR (Mahindra & Mahindra Finances, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand) (2012-2013)

IMPART organized a one day free medical camp at Vanvasi Hostel, Jagatpura, Rudrapur on 23^rd December 2012. This Health Camp was sponsored by Mahindra & Mahindra Finance, Rudrapur. Health camp started at 11:00 AM with the inaugural note by Smt. Indira Mishra, Patron IMPART, US Nagar in the presence Physician Dr. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Dr. Satveer Singh, Lady Doctor Smt. Sunain Bala and Dr. G.S. Joshi, Regional Director IMPART. During her inaugural note Smt. Indira Mishra emphasised on famous idiom “Health is Wealth” and requested localities to get benefited out of the camp as much as possible. Subsequently, Project Manager NRHM, Mr. Neeraj Saxena and the officials of Mahindra & Mahindra Finance Rudrapur including Mr. Praveen Kumar Branch Manager, Mr. Sunil Pandey and Mr. Kamal Singh Bisht joined the camp. This health camp was organized with the objectives of providing free medical check-up and medication to urban poor, slum dwellers as well as strengthen NRHM under the corporate social responsibility of M/S Mahindra and Mahindra Finance Ltd. As a result, a total 317 patients including men, women and children of different ailments/ health problems were advised by the doctors and provided free medicine from the camp.

Apart from this, Targeted Intervention (TI) team of IMPART organised IEC activities with a stall and distributed free condoms, needle syringes to IDU-HRGs as well as disseminated HIV-AIDS prevention awareness on through mike. During this, Project Manager (TI) Mr. Nasim Ahmad told about H.I.V. / AIDS, the difference between HIV & AIDS,   how one can escape from this catastrophe.  Counsellor Mr. Nasir and ORW Mr. Riyasat Ali disseminated information about high risk behaviours, overdose management, and use of condom. Apart from this, Regular Medical Check up (RMC) of IDUs was also done by the Doctors.

On this occasion, TI Project Director Mr. S.N. Dubey, HRIDAYA M&E cum Programm Officer Mr. Hidaytullah Ansari, ARSH MIS Mr. Sarbeen Singh & Mr. A.N. Mishra and ORW Mr. Sourabh Saxena, Block Co-ordinator- Smt. Laxmi Pokhariya, ASHA Fecilitators- Smt. Sarita Gupta, Smt. Sudha Pathak, & Smt. Padmawati, ASHA- Smt. Sitara Devi, Smt. Ganga, Smt. Gayatri, Smt. Ranjna, Smt. Padma & Smt. Beena were present in health camp.
